Obituary for Nicole Patrice Stamper

Nicole Patrice Stamper (Nikki) was born at 3:47 AM on Tuesday, May 14, 1985 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to the parentage of Ted and Teresa Stamper. She attended first and second grade at Minnehaha Academy in South Minneapolis; then completed the rest of grade school and high school in the Brooklyn Park/Osseo School District. She obtained an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Minneapolis School of Business. Nicole's work history includes Boston Scientific, and her last job was at The Lazarus Project in Plymouth, Minnesota. This is when she first developed symptoms of the devastating illness Scleroderma. Nicole fought a brave, long, hard fight for the past nine years, more so within the last two years and especially the last eight months. On Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 6:30 PM at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, Nicole lost her lengthy battle with this dreadful illness, and she is finally at peace.

Nicole loved life, and she loved her family. She was especially grateful of her close relationship with her sister Sheila. She so enjoyed family gatherings, especially whenever she visited Georgia, which was as frequently as she could. Nicole was a quiet, compassionate, private person, yet she was always concerned about her family, often touching base with those near and far. She loved her family and always enjoyed visiting with her aunts. She particularly enjoyed them telling her about them growing up, as they always had a funny story about her dad. She enjoyed her relationship with her uncle James Smith and her uncle Charles Stamper, who died in November 2017.

Family members left to mourn her passing and cherish memories include her thirteen-year-old daughter, Aniyah Nicole Grady of Minneapolis, MN; her parents, Ted and Teresa Stamper of Minneapolis, MN; sisters: Sheila Stamper of Brooklyn Park, MN, Tabitha Stamper of Fort Gaines, GA, Monica Harris (Eric), and Stacey Ransom, both of Blakely, GA; brothers: Kevin Reed (Davine) of Temecula, CA, Theodis "Teddi" Stamper, Jr. (Teresa) of Blakely, GA and Walter Stamper (Jodi) of Brooklyn Park, MN; her favorite cousin/sister, Boosie Christian (Cassundra) of Oakdale, MN; and a special cousin/brother, Preston Stamper (Dani) of Brooklyn Park, MN. Additional family to cherish her memories include eight aunts, six uncles, several nieces and nephews, fifty-plus cousins and a host of friends.

Memorial Service Friday January 25, 2019 6:00 p.m.at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 7300 42nd Avenue North, New Hope. Visitation Friday 1 hour prior to memorial only. Interment was held in Rosenvick Baptist Cemetery, Blakely Georgia.
