Obituary for Delores Leona Pearson (Arnoldi)

Delores Leona Pearson passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 21, 2019. Born on August 30, 1930 in Sanborn, Minnesota, she was the youngest of seven children of Michael and Mammie Arnoldi. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Russell Pearson, parents, four brothers, and two sisters. Survived by children, Larry (Carolyn), Mary Jo (Bill Caccia) Pearson, Thomas (Donna), Jeff, Patricia (Greg Sharp), Lori (Jim Bittker) and Michael (Aimee), 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. An at-home mother during the day raising her seven children, she worked evenings at Gabberts, worked her way up to management, and retired after 34 years. Grandma Dee especially loved time with family, helping with her grandbabies, and roses, to which her husband lovingly tended. Favorite activities included bowling, playing cards and bingo, golfing, traveling, ceramics, attending the Minnesota State Fair, and dancing with Russell. Delores was a devout Catholic who absolutely loved Christmas, singing Christmas carols, and hosting her large family every Christmas Eve. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 10:30 AM at the Church of the Annunciation, 509 West 54th Street. Visitation Thursday 5-8 PM at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 5801 Lyndale Ave. So. and at 9:30 AM prior to Mass at the church. Internment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
